Our latest top-ten mini-notebooks from May 2009. Once again, we have by dozens of their own and other peoples opinions bottom trawls and tried to draw the models and our conclusions. We have our results on practicality, functionality, calculated on the basis and looks.
This month, the departure of several models from our top-ten finishes mini-laptops to see, come as newer models. These include:
Dell Inspiron Mini 9
The original Dell Netbook, whileSmall and compact was a hacked netbook, which has not left the keys, with limited battery life, color selection and storage, and it is our top-ten finishes mini laptops this month. But the new, larger Inspiron Mini 10 is solving some of these problems. We have yet to be investigated, but at first glance, they have sorted out the keyboard, which, incidentally, very large, and some other problems.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is still very good value on a VodafoneHowever, the contract of around £ 20 per month. Consider the separation of the bundles and the purchase of an Inspiron Mini 9 and USB modem disconnected contract and you would only around € 30 more in total. In any case, worth a look ...
Asus Eee PC 1000
Asus Eee PC launched, which gave MSI 1000 after the first 10-inch netbook, the MSI Wind. With her brother, the Eee PC 901, they did a whole series of new features for the successful Eee PC range including the large 6-cell --Batteries as standard, and now the industry standard 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor.
However, as larger brands have compiled it netbook offering, has the great Netbook Asus slid the tables. Asus have updated the model of Bringing Out the Asus Eee PC 1000H, Eee PC1002HA and wonderful version - the Eee PC S101.
MSI Wind
The MSI Wind has, although some have left our rankings are two simple reasons. First, there is now bigger brands with better products, such aslike the Samsung NC10. Secondly, even if you do not want to buy an MSI Wind, you can buy you'd be wasting your money. Why? Because you are buying rather than a Advent 4211! It is the same computer, with different logos, but about £ 50 cheaper depending on where you buy. Even then you would prefer losing out. The new LG X110 is actually not that new - it is a revamped version of the MSI Wind, which looks very attractive. It also comes with embedded 3G.
So, here we come to the top ten of the mini-laptopsRankings ... Price at the bottom:
# 10 - Asus Eee PC 701
The first netbook from Asus unveiled at Computex 2007 in Taipei, kicked off the trend throughout the industry, has once again in our rankings. Yes, it is not as powerful as newer models, so it's a small screen have and yes it costs up to half the price of the newer models. True to its netbook line, which is still one of the smallest, lightest and cheapest netbook.
If you were considering goingfor a budget mini laptop (fair enough, during the hard economic times!) there are some non-branded models. But it is always worthwhile, especially with my brand computers because you can take advantage of after-sales support network. For what it is, the Asus Eee PC 701 still a bargain!

# 9 - Asus Eee PC S101
Although we previously rank this netbookquite high, according to Cnet is still very much on their # 3, but under his delicious skin, there is not much there, especially for the price they are asking - € 449 Upon closer inspection, there is a throttled Battery - 4-cell instead of 6 brothers or not functioning as it integrated 3G option as on the Eee PC 901 About twice the price of similar spec, more powerful models, it is difficult to justify a higher ranking anymore.

# 8 - Toshiba NB100
The Toshiba mini-laptop has climbed the rankings, thanks to some incredible prices. The editor has noted, Amazon.co.uk shave £ 50 from EUR 299 MSRP, with a further cut Laptop Direct £ 50, in April in a warehouse sale. The computer is not as good as some competitors like the Asus Eee PC 901 to build, but the quality is very solid and the brand holds a lot in his name, so we consider it a safe purchase.

# 7 - LG X110
This beautiful new laptop is on the groundbreaking 10-inch laptop is based infact, the MSI Wind. The corners are rounded off to quite an attractive housing, and the price is not too bad. The addition of integrated 3G connectivity allows, where you canCell phone signal, not on competing models like the HP Compaq Mini 700 or Samsung NC10.

# 6 - Acer Aspire One
The Acer Aspire One family has the new D150 10-inch netbook belong. We have decided to merge the two in the interest of the rankings. The price range for the new model is similarly good value for the smallerExpect brother, much cheaper than the £ 300 odd you would pay for the latest netbook.
Despite the addition to the offerings of the Acer has slipped slightly in the rankings as newer and better models enter the top ten rankings mini-laptops.

# 5 - Asus Eee PC 901
The Asus Eee PC 901 is a truly complete netbook. It replaces Asus' previous 9-inch models of the Eee PC 900-series launch 6-cell --Batteries and Intel Atom processors. Now FREE on contract with Orange in a variety of colors, the possibilities are endless. We believe it is the best 9-inch portable mini-laptop.
At the time of writing the Asus Eee PC for about £ 25 per month on Orange Pay month, Mobile Broadband is available.

# 4 - Asus Eee PC 1002HA
The upper end of the Asus Eee PC series comes in the form ofEee PC 1002HA. Completely taken with a newly designed chassis, with inspiration from the seductively sleek Eee PC S101 and the insides of the Eee PC 1000H. Unfortunately, they have a hair breath away from that something quite amazing that it stopped offering the 6-cell battery as standard as the previous Eee PC 901/1000 models. Still, it took the # 4 in our top-ten finishes mini-laptops - a new entry.

# 3 --Samsung NC10
Samsung's low-key entry in the Netbook world has met with overwhelming sales success. The keyboard, manufactured to the letter keys are larger and the number keys to type with little help or almost a game for an HP netbook. More recently, O2 have teamed up with Samsung to offer a range of laptops to mobile broadband contract including the NC10. O2 has implemented one of the better networks, where the only supplier for the infamous Apple iPhone in the UK. Andprovides an excellent network, they also offer free home broadband for mobile broadband customers.
Samsung's confidence in netbooks has been overwhelming, now with the larger Samsung NC20 available and presented other models and is waiting in the pipeline. See the mini-laptops and notebooks.com and click on "New mini laptop" for details including pictures!
# 2 - HP Compaq Mini 700
Not shift from last months top ten mini-laptops, theHP Compaq Mini 700, which is the best netbooking keyboard in the world. You might think it obvious, in order to stretch it right to the edge, you woudn't, but only a small number mini-laptops. Although it is the trackpad is a bit on the SLIM left side, it is a much better interface than other competing models. Hold it high in the rankings it is the price has fallen significantly in recent months to around £ 250-260, far less than the Samsung NC10.
The HP Compaq Mini 700is also on the mobile broadband contract with Orange and 3, although we all find it not as good value on the contract as a provider of other services. For example on Orange you will pay a fiver extra for the Compaq over the Asus Eee PC 901 for the same service - so it will be an extra £ 120 for the duration of the contract cost increases.

Sony VAIO N-Series
The new SonyVAIO N-Series Mini-laptop was unveiled at CES. Sony's new 8-inch, £ 849 "lifestyle PC" (Sony are vary careful to avoid the term "netbook"), is less than 2 inches thick and only slightly larger than an office envelope. It comes with a wealth of features such as 3G mobile broadband, built-in GPS, Windows Vista, battery life of up to 8 hours, weighs SSD storage up to 128GB and surprisingly less than 640g!
